“There is a definite need to do a good clinical trial with THC or CBD or well defined study of cannabis for ADHD.”
– Professor of Medicinal Chemistry Raphael Mechoulam, Organic Chemist
and also known as the "Grandfather of medicinal cannabis" for his original work (together with Y. Gaoni) in the isolation, structure elucidation and total synthesis of THC, and discovery of the endocannabinoid system (Israel, 2014)
The results of this project should remove the main barriers currently separating most ADHD patients from this vital medicine.
Studies of this calibre transcend borders. They are the undeniable evidence used by federal and state governments
around the world to determine which conditions are allowed to legally access and use medicinal cannabis through legal medicinal cannabis programs.
These "Blue Ribbon" studies also give doctors the ability to understand and accept that cannabis effectively
and safely treats a particular condition (or at least that the benefits outweigh the risks), so they can then comfortably consider prescribing it to their patients.
